What's in a star?
93 Percent Stardust
by Nikita Gill
We have calcium in our bones, iron in our veins,
carbon in our souls and nitrogen in our brains.
93 percent stardust, with souls made of flames,
we are all just stars that have people names. I became curious when I read this poem about stardust. It made me wonder if there was a connection between us and the star of Bethlehem. I know it takes some imagination so bear with me. In my wildest dream could it be possible that we were part of that star and through some mystery became who we are as a byproduct of it? The very star that shined brightly on the night of the birth? If you could suspend your thinking of the birth narrative and wonder with a mix of story and science, can you see it? I mean, you are a part of the Divine and a part of the universe! There is something sort of cool about how the universe works and the mystery of how we became. Just maybe, we were witness to the night of the birth as part of a star, who knows? However, what you believe or don’t about the birth narrative or my magical wonderings, isn’t life a miracle?
Blessings,
Jace

“You are the universe, expressing itself as a human for a little while.”
Eckhart Tolle
Your heart generates an electromagnetic field that reaches several feet outside your physical body. People can feel you.

What holy mystery is the Spirit doing in you?
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called Son of God.” —Luke 1.35 Born in You With Gabriel's news the cosmic becomes personal. Christ is coming—God is embodied— in a new way, to transform the world, and whatever that is, it is happening in you. You are being asked to bear work that will have cosmic ripples. What is that new act of Creation God is accomplishing in you? What are signs of God’s new creating in your own heart and life? Look into your soul. Like gazing into a starry sky, it will require time for your eyes to adjust, time for the stars to come out. Give time and stillness to watch, to wait, to observe. What holy mystery is the Spirit doing in you? Wait, and wonder... and say Yes. Steve Garnass-Holmes
And for those of you who are last minute shoppers… I found the perfect list for you….
I hope that you have a blessed Christmas and if Christmas is not your celebration have a wonderful week enjoying the festive season. We just passed the winter solstice. Get out and look at the stars!
